August Photo Essay - 1

August remains busy and I'm again leading my clients to various destinations. Fishing remains fair to good but streams, hatches, and trout are changing and shifting into the mid- to end-of-summer mode.

I again let pictures do the talking.

Yellowstone River is running just about the historical average level - indeed it was running higher last year. HOWEVER, big waters two years in a row seem to have changed the River a lot. New channels are cutting through or have been widened for the year. And then structure changes...........😯
Some sections or spots of the River like this can be very nasty😮Be careful out there😬

Our son turned 2-month-old on my birthday earlier in the month👶🎊, double celebration with wifey's hand-made cake🍰

We had a whole stretch to ourselves😉

On the way to next trip............😅😨

We were at a much busier place but we held on our spots and pods of rising Cutts😏
Learning

Grilled tuna steak for lunch😋

DePuy's Spring Creek challenges us even more😲Seriously trout have got used to all kinds of tricks and flies and can pick on any tiny mistakes we make😲
But, as I told this young angler, I have original flies and different techniques that other guides/anglers don't have😏

Every scene and moment can be memorable at this beautiful stream on the planet🙏🙌

On this day, lunch menu consisted of Chili and Lefty's original Teriyaki Burger🍔😋

Photo Essay 2 will follow later this month😁
