Ant Thought

Yesterday's experience at Lower Slough is still bugging me. In the middle of flying-ants swarm, I couldn't do anything. Today I edited the pictures of insect for better looks.

First, queens looked like this. They were still alive and fluttering when I picked them up from the surface.
Male was this small........Size 20, 22, and 24.

These unbalanced couples were mating.

Anyone has any suggestions and patterns for these flying ants swarm??

I'm working on it now. I'd go back to Slough in a day or two in order to experiment my flies, i.e., my understanding & knowledge.
